I heard my friends told me before on the Roasters Chicken Run where all the participants had to hold the egg and run like a Chicken and I always wonder how it looks like. The opportunity came when Mommy Jane said will bring us to Desa Waterpark to join the run for this year. I was very excited and was the first to woke up that day to join their 12th Run.

We arrived at 7 a.m. and at 7.25 a.m., Dato' Francis Lee, Group Executive Director of Berjaya ROASTERS (M) Sdn Bhd told us that there is a sense of satisfaction to see that their objective of promoting healthy living, while giving back to the community has achieved where a total of RM55,000 was raised from the event. Kenny Rogers Roasters will use that amount of money to provide the needy ones with nutritious wholesome meals as well as donating funds to various organisations through Food Aid Foundation.

Uncle Rick Chee, founder of Food Aid Foundation, thanked KRR and fellow Malaysians for the support to the foundation, With the contributions garnered from the event, they will extend their arms to a greater number of homes and provide them with more nutritious food supplies.

ROASTERS Chicken Run was supported by Desa Waterpark who provide us the entrance tickets, 100 Plus who provide us with the refreshing 100 Plus drinks and Oishi Green Tea, Brooks, BCard, Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, Celebrity Fitness who provide us with a month unlimited access, Unilever Food Solutions, Starbucks, Sports Toto, Krispy Kreme, The Sun, Salonpas, RockTape, Dutch Lady who provide us with chocolate, plain and coffee, The Cocoa Trees who provide us with a small goodie bag of imported chocolates, Fresh N Sqz, Super Asia, Delphi and Nestle.
After the speech and presentation of the mock cheque and goodie bags to all the charitable organisations and homes, we had a warm-up session by Celebrity Fitness before proceeding to run according to our respective categories.
A total of 4 categories compete this round. All participants that finished the line entitle for the limited edition KRR 2016 medals. Prizes awarded to top 3 and 6 consolation prizes for each category. All walk-away with 100 Plus hampers and other prizes too. There are also lucky draw session where all participants had the chances to win hampers, vouchers, LED TV and lots more.

After the lucky draw, that's the end of the event. All the participants which include me then went to Desa Waterpark for a cooling and refreshing session at their water theme park. Yeah...
I had spend a great Sunday to witness a run for a good cause. 12th ROASTERS Chicken Run had inspired me to join more marathon this year to help people in need. Thanks to KRR for the great event that brings my family and friends together on that weekend while doing our part to the charitable homes. Hope to join you again next year for the 13th ROASTERS Chicken Run. Yeah...
